Swimming Through Life Terry Schroeder and the USA Olympic Men Water Polo Team Ms Diana Addison Lyle 9781535275491 Books Reviews
Swimming Through Life is a great read about USA Men's Water Polo from 1980 - 1992, then from 2008 – 2012 as told by USA Water Polo icon Terry Schroeder. It goes beyond the USA Polo, though. It contains great characterization of other top players with whom Terry met and played against during his years as a player and coach. Terry opens his heart and soul to share his full spectrum of emotions. His honesty is nothing short of brave, and readers can gain much from his truthfulness. The book's audience is not solely focused on water polo. Anyone who knows what it is like to strive for excellence, will appreciate this exceptionally well written book.
Great book if you play water polo and know of this legend, or if you want to read a funny and impactful story about an Olympian.
Swimming Through Life is the intense story of a Champion and how one becomes a champion. This book shows the importance of a supportive wife and family in allowing an athlete to become an Olympian. Addison brings out the depth of Schroeder's determination to succeed in sport and in life. This is a must read.
